Sydney, Australia: GE Capital Australia and New Zealand has today signed an agreement to sell approximately $5 billion dollars in mortgages to Pepper Homeloans, in a sale that marks the final phase of its withdrawal from its home lending business in Australia and New Zealand.

CHRISTCHURCH: GE New Zealand, has put its support behind victims of the Canterbury earthquake by donating $100,000NZ to Red Cross’ Canterbury Earthquake Appeal.
In making the announcement, Aaron Baxter, GE Money New Zealand’s Managing Director said: “We, like so many others, have been touched by the Christchurch earthquake that occurred last Saturday (September 4) and hope this donation assists with the rebuilding of the city.”

GE Money New Zealand announces home loan variable interest rate changes.

MELBOURNE: GE Money has announced that following the latest increase in the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s official cash rate of 25 basis points it will increase home loan variable interest rates by 25 basis points for mortgages previously sold through third party mortgage managers, brokers and other introducers and AMS (previously Wizard) in New Zealand.
The rate change is effective 12th August 2010.

AUCKLAND: GE Capital today announced the appointment of Aaron Baxter as Managing Director of GE Money, New Zealand. He will take up the role on Monday, 12 April 2010 replacing Greg White who will return to Australia to take up the role of Managing Director of Retailer Solutions at GE Money.
