Does GE Money finance only specific makes of vehicle?
No, we finance all makes of new and pre-owned vehicles.

How long is the car loan for?
The minimum Car Loan term is six months, the maximum is five years.

How much can I borrow?
You can borrow a minimum amount of $3,000.

How do I make the repayments?
You can choose from a variety of repayment methods, whatever is the easiest for you. For ease of payment GE Money uses Direct Debit as its preferred method.

How often?
You can choose to make your repayments weekly, fortnightly or monthly, whatever best suits your needs.

How do I apply for finance?
You can apply online or by calling us on 0800 022 646 (Mon - Thurs 8am to 8pm, Fri 8am - 6pm and Saturday & Sunday 9am to 5pm). Alternatively, we can give you a call and we can do it over the phone. If you apply online between 8am and 4pm, someone from our Sales Team will get back to you within a couple of hours. Outside of this time we’ll be in touch by 10am the next working day. We may give you a pre-approval before you decide on your purchase, or finance a specific vehicle, motorcycle, boat or caravan.

What information do I need to supply for an application?
In making an assessment of your application, we take many factors into account. You will need to provide us with proof of your identity and proof of your ability to repay the loan, such as a current pay advice or bank statement. Details such as housing, ownership or rental, employment history, references and credit history are generally asked for during the application. Business clients generally supply current financial statements prepared by their accountant or financial advisers.

What are my obligations regarding Vehicle Insurance?
During the term of the agreement, we require that the vehicle is fully comprehensively insured. You can finance this insurance and include the premiums in your standard loan repayments. This can take the worry out of insuring your vehicle and allows for one easy monthly payment.

What happens if I can't make a payment?
The first thing to do is contact GE Money and explain the situation to us. You'll need to talk to one of our Customer Solutions Consultants. They'll be able to advise what can be done to assist you. Depending upon the circumstances, we may be able to reschedule your payments or even re-write the contract over a different period of time. The main thing is to contact us promptly to ensure that your credit rating remains unchanged.
